Alfred Street from State Road 19 to Sinclair Avenue will reopen in Tavares

TAVARES – February 17, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — The Lake County Public Works Department is announcing that Alfred Street from State Road 19 to Sinclair Avenue in downtown Tavares will re-open to traffic on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Storm pipe installation will continue down Caroline Street. There will be a two to three day period when Sinclair Avenue will be closed at the intersection of Caroline Street in the coming weeks. Detour signs will be placed accordingly to direct traffic through the area.

The Alfred Street project, once complete, will establish one-way directional traffic between State Road 19 and Disston Avenue. The city of Tavares is also currently overseeing a utility project to replace water and sewer lines in the downtown area.
