Parkshore Plaza Condominium Association Takes Top Honors in “Disaster Preparedness”
St. Petersburg, FL – April 7, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Rampart Properties. an Associa company, applauds its community, Parkshore Plaza Condominium Association, which recently was named a winner in the 2011 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards for implementing a state-of-the-art disaster response plan.

Parkshore Plaza developed a comprehensive disaster plan explaining community priorities, delineating between association and personal responsibilities and assigning tasks for each phase of a developing emergency. Details are provided for the most likely scenario of a hurricane, through issues such as security, loss of utility services, communication and dealing with floodwaters. The plan is site specific, considering access to outsiders, location of generators, trash and sewer arrangements.

The selection of the winners was made by independent experts from education, journalism, environmental advocacy, community association management and public safety.
