FORT LAUDERDALE , Fla., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ — Real Estate Expo, the pioneer in consumer real estate shows, announced today that it will host Florida’s first statewide real estate awards show in Fort Lauderdale on March 15, 2008 , in conjunction with the 8th annual Real Estate Expo.
The “Best of Florida Real Estate Awards” (FREA) is a spin off of the first televised awards show for this industry in Las Vegas , NV, which aired in August. Actor Mario Lopez who hosted the first show last month is slated to host the Florida rendition.

The black tie optional affair will be held at the Broward County Convention Center, beginning with a red carpet arrival and cocktail reception for nominees and VIP guests. The Awards will spotlight Florida’s top real estate, finance, and design professionals as recipients and presenters of the awards.
The Voting Process
Associations in Florida’s real estate and design industries will nominate their choice to receive the FREA award in more than 40 categories, including Life Time Achievement recognition and Innovator of The Year, previously awarded to Donald J. Trump. Nominees will be announced on our official Web site, www.realestateexpo.us . Floridians will cast their votes for their favorite nominee online. Over 22,000 individual votes were cast to decide winners in each category in Las Vegas , Nevada. The votes will be tabulated by a Certified Public Accountant, and the winners will be announced at the awards show.
