CBRE AND REBUILDING TOGETHER TEAM UP TO SUPPORT SOUTH FLORIDA HOMEOWNER IN NEED

Plantation, FL – October 26, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — CBRE Group, Inc. (CBRE) successfully partnered with Rebuilding Together of Broward County—an organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods—to a homeowner in need as part of CBRE’s “Get Out and Give Back” BuildMonth. During BuildMonth, more than 900 CBRE professionals from nearly 20 offices across the U.S. joined Rebuilding Together to assist with housing construction projects for the underprivileged and homeless.

On October 22, 2011, more than 50 CBRE South Florida volunteers joined Broward County’s Rebuilding Together affiliate to assist a local family in need. The project included the remediation of exterior code violations including extensive landscaping and debris removal, exterior paint, fascia replacement, fence repair and HVAC replacement.

This project was one of several completed across the U.S. as part of BuildMonth—by CBRE offices in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. CBRE provided employees with paid time off for their participation in BuildMonth projects.

“We were pleased to partner with Rebuilding Together on this important project for our community. By aligning our charitable endeavors with our business goals, the Shelter Program affords CBRE professionals the unique opportunity to use their leadership skills to provide meaningful solutions for individuals in need in our communities,” said Mary Jo Eaton, Senior Managing Director of Florida.

“Rebuilding Together of Broward County is so pleased to have worked with CBRE South Florida on this important project,” said Sandra Veszi Einhorn, Executive Director. “By partnering with CBRE, we were able to improve the quality of life for a mother and daughter that needed our support.”

In September 2010, more than 1,000 CBRE professionals across the U.S. joined Rebuilding Together, HomeAid and Habitat for Humanity to complete rebuilding projects in their communities as part of CBRE’s first-annual BuildMonth. The nationwide effort marked the official launch of the CBRE Shelter Program, which focuses on providing shelter and housing to those in need. The Shelter Program is designed to improve the housing options for low-income communities across the country. To find out more about the partnership, visit www.cbre.com/cbrecares.
