ORLANDO, FL – February 1, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Barry Grooms, sales associate, RE/MAX Alliance Group in Bradenton, has been installed as District 13 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. Grooms will serve his fellow professionals in District 13, which encompasses Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties. He is a member of the Manatee Association of Realtors.”I see great opportunities in the international market, as buyers from other countries have confidence in America,” says Grooms, who is active in residential and commercial brokerage. “Foreign buyers recognize that now is the time to buy in Florida.”
A leader in regional and state real estate organizations, Grooms was 2009 president of the Manatee association. He is also an ethics instructor and member of the association’s Professional Development and Technology Committees, as well as a member of the Professional Realtor Institute of Manatee. He was a director of the state association in 2007-2009 and member of its Technology Committee.

As district vice president for the state association, Grooms will focus on enhancing Florida Realtors’ services and support for real estate professionals. “Sale associates need to embrace technology now more than ever,” he says. “Now, even the Baby Boomers are embracing social networking as a form of third-party recommendations.”
Grooms adds that Realtors must continue to be leaders in their Florida communities. “The ripple effect of homeownership starts with the closing,” he says. “Buyers shop locally, get their hair cut locally, eat at local restaurants, hire local trades people to make repairs and provide valuable input in schools and churches. Realtors provide an all-important first point of contact for newcomers to the community.”
