Miami, FL – December 9, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The Master Brokers Forum, an organization comprised of South Florida’s top residential real estate professionals, awarded Alicia Cervera Sr. a Lifetime Achievement Award for her years and dedication to the real estate industry.
The award plaque cites: “Legacy Award”, honoring longtime Master Brokers who have distinguished themselves through industry and community leadership, exemplary professionalism, and outstanding sales production.
For more than 40 years, Alicia Cervera Sr. has played a significant role in developing Miami’s community into a world-class business and residential district. As the founder, principal, and driving force of Cervera Real Estate, Cervera was instrumental in selling hundreds of thousands of luxury high-rise condominium properties throughout South Florida, literally shaping the horizon of South Florida’s iconic neighborhoods.
Cervera was born in Peru in 1930, the daughter of a Peruvian ambassador. In 1954 she married Javier Cervera, a Cuban plantation owner. With the fall of Cuba to the communist revolution, Cervera and her family immigrated to the United States. In 1966 they purchased a waterfront property in Brickell, an investment which would become the very first property zoned as a high-rise. In the later years, her daughters joined the agency, helping to maintain and expand the company’s portfolio.
Today, Alicia Cervera Sr.’s company offers services in residential and commercial real estate sales, rentals, property management and marketing consulting. She remains as dedicated as ever to the standard of excellence that has become associated with her name and her brand.
The award ceremony was held on December 6 at Gibraltar Private Bank in Coral Gables, Florida.
