Time To Reset Your Irrigation Controller on March 13
TAMPA, FL – March 11, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — Tampa residents and property owners are reminded to check their timer settings on irrigation system controllers this weekend when changing from Eastern Standard to Daylight Saving Time.
“The time change offers the perfect opportunity for everyone using automatic irrigation to check the settings on their irrigation timers to make sure they are irrigating only on their assigned days and times,” said Chuck Weber, water department director. “This also is an excellent time to replace the battery in clocks equipped with a battery-powered memory. Unintended extra run times and clocks that have returned to factory settings following a power interruption are two of the problems we see in the field most often.”
The following year-round twice-a-week irrigation schedule remains in effect for locations in Tampa:
At addresses ending in 0, 1, 2, or 3 – Mondays and Thursdays;
At addresses ending in 4, 5, or 6 – Tuesdays and Fridays;
At addresses ending in 7, 8, or 9 – Wednesdays and Saturdays;
At locations with no address (common areas, entry areas), and locations with mixed addresses (office complexes, shopping centers) – Wednesdays and Saturdays.
On designated days, no irrigation may be completed between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
