SHIP Program to Hold Rule Development Workshop in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, FL – July 9, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Florida Housing’s State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program will hold a rule development workshop on July 23, 2009 in Tallahassee. The workshop will be held to receive comments and suggestions from interested persons relative to program requirements as specified in Rule Chapter 67-37, Florida Administrative Code.

This Rule establishes the procedures by which the Florida Housing Finance Corporation shall administer the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program which provides funds to local governments as an incentive to create partnerships to produce and preserve affordable housing. Revisions to the Rule are required to implement technical and clarifying changes. The adoption of these revisions will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of local program service delivery and will provide greater clarification of the program.
