Miami, FL – May 26, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The world’s first JW Marriott Marquis and the Hotel Beaux Arts have opened their finely crafted doors to Miami’s booming downtown district. Each hotel offers a distinct luxury experience and features interior designs conceived and implemented by global architecture, planning and design firm RTKL.

The 313-room, 450,000-SF JW Marriott Marquis – the first hotel of a new exclusive brand – delivers a five-star urban luxury experience to discerning guests, while the Hotel Beaux Arts offers a separate boutique experience on three private floors comprising 44,000 SF of the property.

“JW Marriott Marquis establishes the first expression of the well-known hotelier’s bold new brand and creates an upscale urban experience,” said Wendy Mendes, IIDA, LEED AP, and a vice president in RTKL’s Miami office. “Beaux Arts is a new boutique brand aimed at those guests who collect experiences. Every detail is elevated to the level of art and provides a cultured, catered and comfortable experience.”

Upon arrival at the shared lobby of the JW Marriott Marquis and Hotel Beaux Arts, which is part of an urban mixed-use district that includes a class-A office building, residential condominium and will include a destination retail shopping venue, guests experience a design that fuses art, fashion and technology into a luxury experience.

Guests of the recently-opened Hotel Beaux Arts are greeted with a private check-in and personally escorted to the 39th floor, where the boutique hotel is located. As the first of the distinctive boutique brand, the 30-room, 14-suite hotel embodies exclusivity with its art-gallery feel and décor.

Every element of each guestroom is designed with an artisan approach. Enter through uniquely artistic doors into modern classic interiors and furnishings set against displays of fine art and soak in the residential quality and ambiance created by custom millwork, wood and stone flooring.

Guests have at their fingertips a blend of innovative design and technology. Custom area rugs, ambient lighting, touch-controlled, illuminated bathroom faucets, and Italian marble baths exude comfort, quality and modern luxury. Each room is outfitted with Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems – the first hotel in Florida to do so –including remote controlled drapery, HD-LCD flat screen TVs and a home theatre system. Guestroom amenities also feature iPads and custom bedding.

“The boutique Hotel Beaux Arts was designed to create a truly residential, private ambiance in each of the hotel’s guestrooms,” said Mendes. “It’s a unique offering within the five-star luxury and urban amenities offered by the JW Marriott Marquis. There isn’t another hotel in Miami that offers such a masterful blend of cutting-edge technology and custom-designed interior furnishings.”

The JW Marriott Marquis, which opened its 257 rooms and 56 suites last fall, was designed and developed based on three key attributes: privileged, pampered and plugged-in. It features a two-floor entertainment complex, a 10,000-SF NBA-approved basketball court and an infinity pool. The hotel’s amenities also include a state-of-the-art fitness center, virtual bowling alley, 20,000-SF ballroom, which is the largest in downtown Miami, and the Jim McLean Golf School with putting greens and virtual golf simulators.

In-room amenities include personal connectivity panels with a number of technology features, including the ability to connect laptops and other devices to each room’s massive LCD flat screen.

Guestrooms also feature built-in, custom-designed wood desks, headboard and other classic furnishings reminiscent of a European hotel. The neutral tones of the guestrooms and furnishings are accented with the Axminster carpet woven in an oversized, bold pattern.

Lighting effects feature soft down lights at the entry and in the bathrooms, wall sconces for the bathroom vanity, decorative nightstand lamps and built-in reading lights on the headboard. Bathrooms feature solid gold-colored marble counters with carved-in sinks and polished Giallo Noce stone showers and baths.

The JW Marriott Marquis and Hotel Beaux Arts in Miami are located at 255 Biscayne Bay Way.
