TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ — In an environment of enormous demand, Mortgage Contracting Services (MCS), provider of property preservation and inspection services to the mortgage industry, today announced that the company has streamlined its quality control systems and procedures with the creation of a new internal quality assurance department. The group is headed by Stacey Baumann, who reports to MCS’ CFO, Mike Carroll.
With increasing inventory, it has become critical for field service providers to have robust quality control systems in place to discover where process improvements can be made, identify potential risks and minimize losses. For servicers, property preservation can impact financial and regulatory risk, which means they must partner with vendors who can protect the value of assets during all stages of delinquency and default. Additionally, these vendors must be able to perform quality control reviews to ensure servicers remain in compliance with government regulations.

MCS began by conducting thorough reviews of the current system to ensure there were standard operating procedures across the company. The department is also doing sample testing within a statistical model to measure time frames and look at the quality of work performed. As part of that testing, MCS will be able to make sure that the property preservation and inspection work is being completed within service level agreement timeframes.
