Mica to Hold Congressional Hearing: Assessing NASA’s Underutilized Property Assets at the Kennedy Space Center

Mica announced: “With NASA’s changing mission, the House Oversight panel that I chair will convene at Kennedy Space Center on Monday to review plans for putting vacant buildings and excess property to their best and most productive use. We will hear from the top officials at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Port Canaveral and Space Florida.
“The federal government is sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars of assets in these facilities that could be used to create jobs for our community. I also invited Charles Lee of the Audubon Society to ensure the pristine ecosystem and the recreational uses of sportsmen and women are protected.”
