Jacksonville, FL – May 17, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — CBRE today announced that William (Tripp) Gulliford will join the firm as Managing Director of its Jacksonville office. He assumes his new role on June 3rd, following the retirement of Jim Citrano, who managed this office for more than 15 years.

“Tripp is an exceptional leader who brings extensive experience to our Jacksonville market in all facets of commercial real estate. Building on the foundation created by Jim Citrano, Tripp will be focused on growing CBRE’s footprint in Jacksonville, leveraging our comprehensive platform and forging new business relationships. Our goal will remain consistent in ensuring that we serve our existing clients with the best real estate services in Florida as well as fortifying our position as the global leader in commercial real estate,” said Mary Jo Eaton, Executive Managing Director for CBRE overseeing the State of Florida.

Gulliford comes to CBRE from Everbank where he served as Portfolio Director of Everbank Commercial Advisors, overseeing the management and legal affairs for the bank’s non-performing and sub-performing commercial loan portfolio. Prior to this position, he was a principal with Midland Development Group where, together with his partners, he redeveloped and developed more than 20 retail and mixed-use properties.

He has also served as an executive at Regency Centers, a publicly traded national developer, owner and operator of approximately 450 grocery anchored and community shopping centers in 30 states. A lawyer by training, Gulliford practiced general business and commercial real estate law in Jacksonville with Rogers Towers.

Active in the community, he is currently the Chair of The City of Jacksonville Housing Finance Authority and is a trustee of the Riverside Presbyterian Day School. He is a member of The Florida Bar, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.

Gulliford holds a J.D from Stetson University College of Law and at Bachelor of Arts from The University of the South.

“CBRE is the recognized leader in commercial real estate, not only in the Florida market but around the world. I look forward to working with the CBRE team to grow its presence and position within the Jacksonville market,” Gulliford said.
