Lake County to present its State of the County program on Tuesday, Nov. 8

TAVARES – (RealEstateRama) — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will present its State of the County program at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the County Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares.

The presentation, titled “A Legacy of Accomplishments,” will outline the most notable achievements of the commission during fiscal year 2016, including record economic development and tourism numbers, quality of life improvements and public safety enhancements.

The State of the County will begin promptly at 9 a.m., followed by the induction of community activist and advocate for the homeless Ann Huffstetler Rou into the Women’s Hall of Fame.

Commissioners Welton Cadwell and Jimmy Conner will receive special recognition for their years of service.

A brief intermission will follow and a regularly scheduled County Commission meeting will take place after the intermission.
