WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 7, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The state is working to reunite Florida residents with their unclaimed property, and that includes, cold, hard cash!
Since the program begin in 1961, nearly four million claims have been processed, returning $2.5 billion to the rightful owners.
During Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater’s term in the last four years, nearly 40 percent or $1 billion has been returned to Florida residents.
