Congressman Joe Garcia Fights to Protect Homeowners Against Flood Insurance Rate Increases

“This is neither a Democratic problem nor a Republican problem, this is a national problem that all Americans need us to work on. This Act was passed before I came to office, but it affects my constituents and seriously threatens our economic recovery,” emphasized Garcia.

Congressman Garcia has been a leader on this issue, co-sponsoring legislation that would delay rate increases and just today signing onto a letter that urges the Speaker of the House, and the Minority Leader, to take action, through any means necessary, to keep flood insurance rates affordable.
