CBRE’s Leading Market Share in Florida Supported by Fortune’s Roster Most Admired Companies

Tampa, FL – March 9, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. (CBRE) has been named to the annual roster of the Most Admired Companies in the U.S. real estate industry compiled by Fortune magazine. “CBRE’s inclusion as one of the real estate industry’s most admired companies supports our leadership in the market,” says Mary Jo Eaton, CBRE senior managing director for Florida. On average, CBRE’s market share is twice that of the nearest competitor for the top office and industrial transactions in Florida.

Last year, CBRE provided representation in 22.0% of top office lease transactions–more than tripling the 6.7% held by the second most competing firm. For industrial properties, CBRE handled approximately 40% of the total square footage leased or sold to users verses nearly 20% by the closest contender.

“Our professionals are truly the most experienced in the market,” said Eaton. “As commercial real estate markets improve, we’re adapting the real estate strategies of our clients by using unmatched market knowledge.”

The survey covers 57 industries and is one of the most definitive report cards on corporate reputations. CB Richard Ellis is the highest-ranked commercial real estate services company on the list. The attributes on which companies are measured include innovation; quality of management; people management; financial soundness; use of corporate assets; long-term investment; social responsibility; product/services quality; and global competitiveness. CB Richard Ellis scored particularly well in global competitiveness (ranked #1) as well as quality of services, people management and social responsibility (all ranked #2).
