CBRE’S TRACI JENKS NAMED PRESIDENT-ELECT FOR NAIOP NORTHEAST FLORIDA

Jacksonville, FL – January 6, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — CBRE is pleased to announce Traci Jenks, Senior Associate with the Jacksonville office, has been named president-elect to the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association with the Northeast Florida chapter (NAIOP-NEFL) in Jacksonville. Jenks first joined NAIOP in 2000 while working in Economic Development with the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has been on the Board for five years and chaired various committees such as Public Relations, Government Affairs, Membership, and the Annual Awards Celebration.

The President-Elect position is determined by a majority vote from the members; “Traci was unanimously elected to the position,” said 2012 NAIOP-NEFL chapter president Gordon Steadman. “I am very excited to have her as second-in-command in this highly active role within our organization. She is the consummate professional, always bringing 100% commitment to the table.”

Jenks will succeed Steadman in 2013. The president-elect acts as the right-hand person to the president in running the chapter.

“Traci is one of those rare people who is equally respected by her peers, her clients and by the members of the community. She brings a vitality and enthusiasm to all her endeavors,” said CBRE Managing Director, Jim Citrano.

Jenks’ commitment to the Jacksonville business community is extensive. She is also a member of Jacksonville’s Downtown Rotary, the Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a founding member of the Jacksonville Commercial Real Estate Women chapter. In the summer of 2011, Jenks established the Downtown Catalyst Club, a social networking group focused on building connections and exploring ways to increase vitality of the Jacksonville downtown scene.

As a dedicated commercial real estate professional, she is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), an elite designation earned by those who have proven themselves proficient not only in theory, but also in practice through an extensive designation process.

With CBRE, Jenks focuses on servicing property owners and landlords of office properties as well as assisting tenants in renewing, expanding and relocating their office space in the Jacksonville market. Most recently, Jenks assisted Prudential Insurance in expanding Select Quote at 701 San Marco, expanded Deutche Bank at Greystone Business Park on behalf of Taurus Southern Investments and relocated the Amports headquarters location from Jacksonville’s Blount Island Port to Deerwood Park.
