Calkain Companies and Morgan Stanley Rev Up to Support Local Charities at Ferrari of Washington DC
Tampa, FL – June 28, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — – Jonathan Hipp, President & CEO of Calkain Companies and Dan Shannon of Morgan Stanley literally rolled out the red carpet for the exclusive event An Evening of Giving, Networking and Beautiful Fast Cars held on June 20 at Ferrari of Washington in Dulles, Virginia. Over $5,000 was raised to benefit local charities Backpack Buddies of Loudoun County, Humane Society of Loudoun County, and the Virginia Chapter of Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Jonathan Hipp, founder of Calkain Companies and Calkain Cares, commented “We are all so fortunate and want to give back and raise awareness that there are these great organizations right here in our backyard that help our community in so many ways. Ferrari agreed with us and gave us this great venue to do it!” Annette Brennan, a volunteer with Backpack Buddies of Loudoun County, stated “We are able to grow and help more kids thanks to the help of outside organizations like Calkain.”
Backpack Buddies of Loudoun County is a grass roots effort by local volunteers and groups that help children in the county who are classified as food insecure receive weekend meals. The number of kids helped through the program is increasing each year.
The Humane Society of Loudoun County is a no kill, animal welfare organization founded in 1966. They are an all-volunteer non-profit organization and rely entirely on the generous donations of those in the community.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is the boldest community fueling the best science and making the biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. Thanks to events like this, they have invested almost $2 billion in ground-breaking research, community health outreach and advocacy in more than 50 countries.
