$3 Million in Grants to Cleanup and Revitalize Communities in Florida

ATLANTA - April 21, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is awarding eight communities in Florida with $3 million in brownfields grants to help revitalize former industrial and commercial sites, turning them from problem properties to productive community use. Brownfields are sites where expansion, redevelopment, or reuse may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
