3rd Annual WinterFair offers a celebration of the season for the whole family

CLERMONT – December 11, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The 3rd Annual WinterFair, being held Friday, Dec. 20 and Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, 11490 Monte Vista Road in Clermont, welcomes families to share in the excitement of a country, down-home holiday season in a fun, festival-like atmosphere.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday with an evening concert featuring legendary singer/songwriter, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame winner, John Sebastian, of The Lovin’ Spoonful.
The excitement continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday as fair-goers have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, craft vendors and exhibitors, a variety of food options, kayaking, paddleboard demonstrations, children’s activities and more.

Wagon rides pulled by a team of draft horses will be available, and other furry critters will make an appearance, including Domenic the Italian Christmas Donkey, creatures from Swamp Girl’s Adventures and Trouper the blind raccoon.

The Kids’ Crafts Village welcomes Donna Dewberry, from the PBS show “One Stroke Painting with Donna Dewberry,” and Brandee Thunberg, Art Educator at Grassy Lake Elementary, who along with her students, will display artwork and give an opportunity to create “make and take” gifts for the family.

Tickets for WinterFair are available online at www.scrubjaytrail.org. John Sebastian concert tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the gate. Event proceeds go to The Florida Scrub-Jay Consortium’s Scrub-Jay Treatment Center Building Fund for injured songbirds and wildlife. The Florida Scrub-Jay Consortium is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Florida corporation.
