Miami Real Estate Sets Single-Family Home Sales Record in June

The Miami real estate market recorded its highest number of single-family home sales of any month in history in June and is on pace to set another all-time annual sales record, according to a new report by the 36,000-member MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) and the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system. The Miami market registered 1,390 single-family home sales in June, beating its previous record of 1,317 in June 2005

Orlando home sales, median price both up 10 percent in May

Orlando’s housing market is riding its traditional summertime wave of home sales — fueled in part by both low interest rates and more inventory — and posted positive numbers for the month of May. Sales of existing homes increased 10 percent while the median price also increased 10 percent when compared to May of 2014, reports the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association.

Statewide existing home sales last month increased nearly 3 percent over statewide sales activity in March. Meanwhile, April’s statewide existing-home median price was 2.3 percent higher than March’s statewide existing-home median price of $137,000. It marks the second month in a row that the statewide existing-home median price has increased over the previous month’s median.
