Lake Extension invites community to Promise Ranch property tour

UMATILLA, FL – December 24, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — The Lake County Extension is partnering with Florida’s Forest Stewardship Program to host a property tour of the 1,500-acre Promise Ranch in Umatilla on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 9 a.m.

The management of the property began as a Forest Stewardship Plan focusing mainly on quail management, but it has developed into an overall habitat restoration plan with an emphasis on managing for threatened and endangered plant and animal species.

Join property owner Robert Panuska and the Lake County Extension Office for a tour of Promise Ranch. Participants should be prepared for some walking.
