Lake County Realtors, lending institutions invited to meeting about Neighborhood Stabilization Program

TAVARES, FL – August 17, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Lake County and its partners in the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) are meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares, with realtors and lending institutions in Lake County to discuss up-to-date information on NSP and how Lake County is using its funding.

The County and its partners are also interested in hearing from the lending institutions about their latest mortgage lending guidelines and if they are holding any foreclosed properties.

“It is important that realtors and lending institutions understand that the County’s focus is on purchasing foreclosed properties and making them affordable again,” said Bill Gearing, Lake County’s Community Enhancement Coordinator. “This meeting will be very beneficial to all involved and can go a long way in making Lake County’s NSP a model for the country.”
