DELAND, Fla., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ — Homebuyers looking to live in an active adult community are invited to “Stay and Play” at Victoria Gardens and experience unlimited access to the community’s amenities and activities. The opportunity is available Nov. 15, 2007 — Dec. 31, 2008.

Victoria Gardens by Shea Homes, the nation’s largest private homebuilder, is a gated, active lifestyle community for individuals who are 55 years of age and older. It is situated within Victoria Park, a St. Joe Hometown master- planned community. Home owners will enjoy a variety of amenities, including a private clubhouse with pool, tennis center, health and fitness facility, and access to the 18-hole Ron Garl-designed golf course in Victoria Hills, within the Victoria Park community. Residents can also participate in the “Art of Living” program designed to bring residents together through organized activities, events and outings.

“Victoria Gardens is attractive to active adults because of the variety of amenities and services we offer, its proximity to family-friendly Orlando and East Coast beaches, and the small-town feel both of the community and DeLand,” said Jeff Gersh, Shea Homes area vice president for Central Florida. “The 'Stay and Play' program is our way of saying that we're confident active adults will buy in our community if they only experience how special it really is.”

“Stay and Play” is open to age-qualified potential homebuyers. Participants will stay at the nearby Holiday Inn Express in Deltona/Orange City for three days and two nights and can play golf at the award-winning Indian Hills golf course within Victoria Park. “Stay and Play” is $69 per night, or $89 per night with golf, and includes accommodations, Smart Start breakfast, complimentary lunch for two at the Clubhouse Cafe and a guided tour of Victoria Gardens.

In January, Shea Homes will have new model homes of varying sizes and floor plans open in Victoria Gardens. Single-story homes in Victoria Gardens are priced from the $200,000’s to the mid-$300,000’s and range in size from 1,430-2,210 square feet.

Victoria Gardens is positioned in one of the most convenient locations in all of central Florida. The community is a short drive to many central Florida attractions, including Daytona and New Smyrna beaches, and Orlando's themed parks and family attractions. DeLand offers a small-town feel with a rich cultural heritage and is home to Stetson University.

Shea Homes is one of the nation’s most recognized builders of active adult communities. Trilogy by Shea Homes recently ranked highest in customer satisfaction among the large active adult home builders, according to a J.D. Power and Associates survey.

Interested homebuyers can call 866-342-2168 to inquire about their “Stay and Play” experience.
