3 online seminars to focus on improving finances

TAVARES – April 3, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County is providing three free webinars to help residents improve their finances. The live online sessions will provide information on steps to boost overall finances, understand the financial aspects of home ownership and manage credit.

“Good money management is a vital skill in planning for a secure financial future,” said Julie England, Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with the UF/IFAS Extension in Lake County. “Webinars are an easy way for people to learn these skills from the comfort of their home or office.”

The “Building a Strong Financial Foundation” will be held on Thursday, April 16 and will cover the crucial elements of financial stability, finding balance in your financial life, and planning ahead for “what ifs.” Register online at http://bit.ly/BSFN2015.

“Protecting Your Home Investment” will be hosted on Thursday, April 30. Current and potential homeowners will learn the benefits of homeownership, importance of planning for large purchases, maintaining and improving the home. Register online at http://bit.ly/YHome2015.

“Credit: Myths & Realities” will be held on Thursday, May 7, where participants will learn cost effective strategies for using credit. Topics will include evaluating loans and credit scores.

All webinars are held from noon – 1 p.m. and are interactive, giving people the opportunity to ask questions. However, those who are unable to participate in real-time may view the recorded sessions after they are completed at http://bit.ly/extwebinars.
