Pilot Program Attempts to Preserve Affordable Housing Stock in Florida
Tallahassee, FL - August 12, 2008 - (RealEstateRama) — In response to the need to increase the preservation of existing affordable housing stock, Florida Housing has created the Preservation Rehabilitation Pilot Program. Funding for the program is allocated through Appropriation 1616, from the 2008 legislative session, in the amount of $10 million (non-recurring funds). This funding is provided for the preservation and rehabilitation of rental housing that receives, or has received, funding from any federal or state housing funding program in the following counties: Pasco, Palm Beach and Orange.
Public Meeting Set
A public meeting will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. in the Seltzer Room (Tallahassee) to discuss the implementation of this appropriation. For more on this meeting, please use the link below.
